The Cebu City Public Library, along with newly-formed group “THE BASADOURS” comprising of Friends of the Cebu City Public Library, launches the “I Love to Read Project“, a public-private collaborative project aimed at literacy development this February 25, at the Library premises.
Believing that literacy is the foundation for proper values education, the project seeks to address the fundamental challenges of literacy development in the city.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Cebu City Charter, a Cebuano Literary Heritage Program will be held at the Activity Center, Ayala Center this Saturday, February 25, at 3 p.m.
The program will include traditional forms that are now part of Cebuano Heritage: balitaw, kulilising hari, pamalaye, and a brief play by Piux Kabahar called “Seguro ang Pancit“.
Performers will come from members of writers groups and students of the literature classes of University of San Carlos.
Inviting all Cebuanos and Cebuphiles, enjoy this rare treat of Cebuano literature and heritage.

Hosted by DOT-7 and Campaigns Cebu, this Photo Contest calls for creative images of the sites in Central Visayas seen through through the camera lenses of hobbyist and professional photographers. Photos that depict Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor and (Dumaguete) Oriental Negros’ charms – local tourism sites, including potential and undiscovered attractions, culinary heirlooms, culture & heritage sites, and art/design ingenuity (handicrafts and artisanal pieces).
