Jeepney routes in Cebu City will be changed as several roads will be closed off to traffic starting 2 p.m. this Friday, 6 January 2012, for the Sinulog 2012 launching/parade.

This Friday, the parade begins from the main entrance of the Basilica del Sto. Niño along Osmeña Blvd. It will proceed to the Fuente Osmeña Circle where it will make a U-turn to take the lane that leads to the gate of the Cebu City Sports Complex in between the Cebu City Central School and Abellana National High School.

For the Sinulog Launch Parade this 6 January 2012

Commuters are advised of the following routes of passenger jeepneys:

CAPITOL & LAHUG

• Jeepneys from the Capitol and Lahug using the Osmeña Blvd. shall turn right to B. Rodriguez St., turn left to V. Rama Ave., proceed to V. Rama Extension, then to their destinations. From the Carbon area, they shall turn left to F. Gonzales St., turn left to Magallanes St., turn right to Borromeo St., left to Sanciangko, right to Panganiban, left to N. Bacalso, right to V. Rama Ave., then to their points of origin

BANAWA & GUADULUPE

• Those from Banawa and Guadalupe shall use V. Rama Ave., turn right to Katipunan St., left to A. Lopez St., to Tres de Abril St. then right turn to Carlock St., turn left to Tupas St., straight to Magallanes St. then to the Carbon area. From Carbon market, they shall turn left to F. Gonzales St. left to Magallanes, right to Borromeo, left to Sanciangko, right to Panganiban, left to N. Bacalso Ave. then make a right turn to V. Rama Ave. leading to their points of origin

LAHUG THRU MAXILOM

• Those from Lahug passing through Gen. Maxilom Ave. shall use F. Ramos St., turn right to Junquera St., turn left to Colon St., left to D. Jakosalem St. then to their points of origin

AYALA, ROUTE NO. 14D

• Jeepneys from the Ayala with route no. 14D shall use Escario St. then make a left turn to Juana Osmeña St., turn right to Gen. Maxilom Ave., turn left to F. Ramos St. to Junquera St., turn left to Colon, turn right to Mabini St., make a right turn to Gullas St., turn right to Legaspi St, then to Pelaez St., turn right to P. del Rosario St., turn left to D. Jakosalem, left turn to Echavez Extension, turn right to F. Ramos St., right turn to Raintree Mall, then to Juana Osmeña St.

TALAMBAN PASSING JUNQUERA

• Public vehicles from Talamban passing Junquera and F. Ramos Sts. Shall turn left to Sikatuna St., straight to Mabini St., turn right to V. Gullas St., to D. Jakosalem St. then to their usual route. Talamban jeepneys using Sikatuna St. shall turn right to Colon and to D. Jakosalem.

PARDO & LABANGON

• Jeepneys from Basak, Pardo and Labangon passing P. del Rosario St. shall turn right to V. Rama Extesion, left to Tres de Abril, left to C. Padilla St., right to Pa-nganiban, left to Magallanes, and left turn to Borromeo St.

INAWAYAN

• Jeepneys from Ina-yawan, Basak, Pardo and Labangon using Colon St. shall turn right to Leon Kilat St., turn right to Maga-llanes St. and then to their points of origin.

COLON THRU WHITE GOLD

• Those from the south passing Colon St. on their way to SM, White Gold and North Bus Terminal shall turn right to V. Rama Extension, turn left to Tres de Abril St., turn right to Lakandula St., make a left turn to C. Padilla St., right turn to Panganiban St., left turn to Magallanes St., right turn to Plaridel, left to Lincoln, left to F. Gonzales, then follow M.C. Briones St. before making a left to M.J. Cuenco Ave., right turn to V. Sotto St., left to S. Osmeña Blvd., then to their destination. From SM or North Bus, they shall turn left to Gen. Maxilom, right to Juana Osmeña St., left to J. Llorente St., left to C. Rodriguez St. right to B. Rodriguez St., left to V. Rama then to N. Bacalso

URGELLO & USC GIRLS HIGH

• Those from Urgello and the USC Girls High shall follow Leon Kilat St., right to Sanciangko, left to Panganiban, left to Colon, right to Leon Kilat, left to Magallanes, right to Manalili, left to J. Leyson St., to M.C. Briones St., left to M.J. Cuenco Ave., right turn to Palma St., left turn to Arellano Blvd., then to their destinations. From the pier, they shall follow M.J. Cuenco Ave., right to Magallanes St., to M.C. Briones St., right to D. Jakosalem, left to Magallanes, to Borromeo St. left turn to Sanciangko St., left to N. Bacalso Ave., right turn to V. Rama Ave., then to Alcan-tara St. and to their points of origin.

MABOLO

• Jeepneys from Mabolo passing Gen. Maxilom Ave. shall turn left to F. Ramos St., right turn to Junquera St., left turn to Colon St., left to Mabini St., right to Zulueta St., left to M.J. Cuenco Ave, then to their usual routes.

MABOLO THRU GULLAS

• Those from Mabolo using V. Gullas St. shall turn right to Legaspi St., right turn to Colon, left to Mabini St., right to Zulueta, left to M.J. Cuenco then to their points of origin.

MANDAUE THRU GULLAS

• Jeepneys from Mandaue City passing V. Gullas St. shall turn left to P. Burgos St., turn left to Jereza St., turn left to M. J. Cuenco, then to their usual routes.
