SineBuano Sunday, 6/14

Last June 14, SineBuano crew meet and discuss with the fresh cast members of the group’s latest venture, Project Mango, a wholesome adventure that presents the vital bonds of friendship on the nurturing backdrop of nature.

Mango 3Despite the strong rains that Sunday afternoon and few detours that had to occur to the final venue, SineBuano cast and crew had its first pre-production meeting. In attendance were the executive producer, director, assistant director, director of photography, assistant DoP/Editor, Production Designer/Director and Art Director along with the fresh cast of SineBuano’s Project Mango.

After the general introductions, the cast– many of whom are working with SineBuano for the first time– are treated to an informal viewing some of SineBuano’s work that presents SineBuano skills and ability regarding audio-visual productions. This is always protocol fo the group to earn the confidence of any first time cast or crew members.

Afterwards, the director relayed his ideas about the project. Through the use of a storyboard, his cinematic vision was easily relayed to both cast and crew. Below is a page of the storyboard:

Following the storyboard presentation, there was an informal discussion of ideas about performance and production details. Everyone was allowed to voice out comments and suggestions for the benefit of the project.

The director plans to host a workshop/rehearsal for the cast members to grow comfortable in working together and perform as required by the project’s script.

Project Mango is slated to be shot in late June, weather permitting at an exterior location somewhere in Busay, Cebu.
