by SineBuano ~ January 18th, 2010. Filed under: SineBuano Features. In support of the amazing documentary film from POINTSOURCE FILMS, ESKRIMADORS, Cebu’s Independent Filmmaking Scene launches a prize promo to entice everyone to watch ESKRIMADORS, screening at SM City Cebu on January 30!
SineBuano offers up this gift certificate (click image) from Parklane International Hotel (Thanks to Ate Ara Inso, Ma’m Angie and the wonderful people of Parklane–Cebuano Hospitality at its Finest!), that entitles a free one-night stay for two with breakfast buffet* to one(1) lucky winner from among those who will watch ESKRIMADORS this coming 30th.
So how does one get to win this prize?
The Rules are pretty simple and are as follows:
1) Attend the ESKRIMADORS screenings at SM City Cebu Cinema 2 this January 30, 2010. There will be an early screening at 630 PM and a second screening at 8 PM.
2) Take a good photo (take several good photos) of yourself with your ESKRIMADORS movie ticket in hand in front of the ESKRIMADORS Banner Poster that will be set up at the SM Cinema 2.
Aside from being proof of attending the ESKRIMADORS screening, the Photo will serve as identification when the Winner will be given the prize.
3) Upload your ESKRIMADORS Screening Photo online and share its link here in this blog– ” SineBuano Promo: Watch Eskrimadors and Win!” as a comment along with a few words about your ESKRIMADORS experience.
Deadline for the photolinks with comments will be a week after the Eskrimadors screenings at SM City Cebu. Posting of comments on this particular blog will be closed on February 6.
4) One (1) winner will be drawn from those who have submitted their photo links with comments through a raffle and will be contacted via their e-mail on how and where they can receive the Parklane gift certificate.
*IMPORTANT! The gift certificate is subject to Parklane guidelines and rules. Prior Reservation with hotel management is required and subject to room availability. It is only valid until June 30, 2010.Everyone got that? Now you have more than enough reason to mark your calendars, set your alarms and maybe reserve your tickets ahead for January 30!
And if this is not yet enough, check out this low-res clip of the first three minutes of ESKRIMADORS which I grabbed during the special press screening with my Cybershot, for promotional purposes.

had watched d film last nyt. It was an eye opener for me on the dying art of eskrima. I felt d passion of the grandmasters for their art. d government should promote dis film & have film screenings to our public high schools to increase awareness & revive this precious & dying art of Arnis/Eskrima.
Film editing & Cinematography was superb.
Congratulations to d men & women behind dis film.
below is a link to a photo of me during d premiere of the film.

It was historical! Mga ngilngig ug banggiitan kaayo ang mga Grand Masters sa Eskrima. I enjoyed the event, the film was great and I had a short conversation with a few of the masters, they’re amazing! The film should be shown worldwide!

I just wanna ask if you still have another schedule screening here in Cebu. I wasn’t able to watch the movie due to the conflict of schedule. Thank you.
