A special invitation from the MU SIGMA PHI FRATERNITY of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in partnership with Department of Health,  TAYO Awards Foundation, Inc.,   Philippine Association of Communication Educators and the U.P. Manila Center for Gender and Women Studies.

The 2ND QUISUMBING-ESCANDOR FILM FESTIVAL FOR HEALTH (QEFF) is a NATIONWIDE documentary and short narrative film-making contest opened to both professional and amateur film makers.

The theme for this year is “Sa ngalan ng ama, ng anak, at ng ina…” which seeks to highlight the interactions between the socio-economic, cultural, environmental, and political factors with maternal and child health in the country through film as medium.

The film festival is open to Filipino film-makers and multimedia artists from all over the country. Individuals, groups or organizations are encouraged to submit their entries and submission of multiple entries is allowed.

Film Entries will be accepted from September 4, 2009 to May 4, 2010.
