1) The male lead/hero must be promdi, innocent and naive, trying his luck out in the big city.
2) There he will encounter a posse made of either naughty relatives or strangers that will teach him street smarts.
3) In his quest to better himself, he will encounter a beautiful young woman, virtueous and kind, really too good for him and often enough too rich for him but she will fall for him due to his persistence and good nature.
4) The girl will also have her own posse para may partners naman ang posse ng bida.

5) Of course, there will also be someone against this love match between our poor bida and his love, in the form of a disapproving parent or a jealous and often enough sadistic, wealthy rival.
6) Through the course of the film, our hero gets rich either through by the luck that he happens to be the long lost heir of a great fortune or he becomes a popular star or comes up with a number one commercial product or idea.
7) To celebrate his success in love and fame, the gang goes to a beach outing and performs the ritual musical.
8 ) Afterwards, the jealous rival kidnaps the damsel.

Our hero and his posse face off the rival and his goons in a shoot-out in, of course, an abandoned warehouse/plant.
The rival and his goons have guns, our hero and his posse use their wits and luck, kind of like Scooby doo and his gang.
9) Ultimately, the hero and his posse subdue their foes. The police comes only after the danger is over just to bring the rival and his goons to prison.
10) Our hero and his love wed, living happily ever after but there’s often a gag in the end.
