Synopsis:
When her own tribe slowly returned to their elder Gods, the young queen Humamai cannot seem to turn away her heart and devotion to the Child God who has been brought to her home’s shores by Spanish explorers. Yet her duties lie with the will of her people and it is with a heavy spirit she joins them in their worship of the Old Ways.
Then Death comes from the night, bringing steel and fire. From the blood and ashes, the legend of Humamai rises.
A winner of the 2009 Sinulog Film Festival, this film was directed by Remton Zuasola, produced by Tessa Villegas through T-Interlace Media Productions.
