Born Liao Yangzhen, this former fashion model reached the hearts of Asia and the world with his breakthrough lead role of Dao Ming Su in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden I and II. He is also very popular in mainland China because of his good looks, talents, and of course being a member of the boy choi band F4 (now JVKV)
Aside from being an JVKV member, Yan branched out as a solo artist with his album, ‘The First Time’ (Jerry for You) in August 2004. In January 2005, he won as ‘Most Popular Newcomer’ in the ’12th Chinese Music Awards’ held in Beijing.
A World Vision Taiwan ambassador for charity, Yan has an adopted child, Baldan, in Mongolia. The singer/actor always encourages others to spend money on charity work.
He speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese, and was previously learning English to communicate better with fans around the world. He understands and speaks Japanese.
He’s currently shooting a new TV series called “Starlit”.

Wow!! it’s funny the way he makes me feel is an unexplainable feeling and strange as well because I haven’t had this reaction with any other actor/singer. I wish I knew more about him and I wish that someday I’ll have the opportunity to see him in a concert.

Jerry is a very talented artist and certainly has good look. But would anyone agree with me that he is getting skinnier and does not look as healthy as he was back in the Meteor Garden’s days?
