3-Cents Worth: Dogma (1999)

Mercilessly satirical, Dogma serves as a kick on contemporary dogmatism where faithfuls are often trapped in religious idolatry for reasons sometimes beyond human comprehension. With Catholicism at its core, the film explores Biblical prophecies as the characters grapple with loopholes in a bid to change everything we know about God and religion. The film toggles somewhere in between between “theological rigidity and secular reality”, where most of us are probably situated.
